Bachelor in Business Administration Degree in CIS

The Computer Information Systems (CIS) major is for you if you're interested in how people use computers to improve the performance of individuals and organizations. The CIS major provides knowledge required to enter a career as a systems analyst, an application developer, manager of information technology, or a network manager. This program of study leads to a Bachelor in Business Administration (BAA) degree in CIS. The focus of CIS degree is on integrating information technology solutions and business processes to meet the information needs of businesses and other enterprises, enabling them to achieve their objectives in an effective and efficient way. The CIS program provides students a solid theoretical background in requirements analysis, design, database design, data mining, networking, development, and deployment of computer and web-based information systems. CIS is a business & technical discipline, and students receive formal training in finance and investment, accountancy, and management-- key areas where information technologies are applied. In addition, students will acquire supporting technical skills in software engineering and data communications along with problem solving skills through the team-oriented, project based courses in the program. Our program focuses on six areas:
  • Information design, architecture and visualization
  • Problem solving and Programming
  • Web-based applications development
  • Data Mining and Data warehousing
  • Networking and Information Assurance
  • Project management and software development
